    Hi
After the last update in the shop page and categories page the variable products are not recognized they are seen as simple products, only random someone is recognized as variable.

I tried deactivating all plugins but it still doesn’t work.
I have tried using a basic twenty -nineteen theme but it does not solve the problem.
I tried emptying the customizations changes on my function.php in the child theme but nothing.

    I use storefront with child-theme woocommerce 6.5.1 and php7.4. .

    Do you have any suggestions.

    Thanks

  • Hi @alberto76

    Thanks for reaching out.

The behavior you are describing is most likely due to a conflict with one of the tools or code that is not compatible with the latest WooCommerce version.

I understand that you have already performed the steps of a conflict test and also disabled custom code. If it was done not fully then we recommend completing it properly to narrow down to the culprit. Here’s the conflict test guide: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/.

If nothing comes out of the conflict test, please share a copy of your site’s System Status (with all plugins but WooCommerce disabled, and switched to a basic theme such as Storefront). You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

We’ll look forward to your response.

@alberto76 If you’re still having this issue, do you happen to be using WPML?

If so, there is a conflict between WPML and WP 6.0. It can cause Variable products to be switched to Simple and prevent products from displaying properly on certain category and product pages.

There’s more on this at https://wpml.org/errata/wp-6-0-issues-with-terms-assigned-to-posts including a manual fix. WPML appears to be working on a new release to fix it.

If you apply the manual fix, it may be necessary to flush your site’s cache and rewrite rules to see the change immediately. A quick way to flush rewrite rules is to save your permalink settings.
