As a French speaker, I use é à è ç in some captions…

When the video is rendered on the site, all these extended chars are not properly interpreted.

example:
“Générique Temps X, présenté par les frères Igor et Grichka Bogdanoff” becomes
“GÃ©nÃ©rique Temps X, prÃ©sentÃ© par les frÃ¨res Igor et Grichka Bogdanoff”

This happens with other characters too.

If the plugin is deactivated, the proper caption appears.

Hi there and thanks for submitting this issue. I have taken a look at the problem and produced what I think is a fix.

Could you download the following and add to your site to test please? You will need to deactivate the current plugin first of course.

That download includes a fix and it would be great to see if it works for you before updating the plugin for everyone.

Thx. Works properly now.

BTW, it’s not about “French chars” only, but many/most extended chars. Had problems with — (U+2014) or &, etc.
