• the iPhone app persistently crashes. I am using iOS 18 beta, so it might just be that, but wondering if there is something easy and obvious I should be looking for. I’ve reviewed logs, and I can’t see anything suspicious.

  • Hi there! It sounds like you might be experiencing a compatibility issue between the WordPress app and the iOS 18 beta. Beta versions can sometimes have bugs that affect functionality with certain apps.

Here are a few things you can try:

    1. There might already be an update for the WordPress app that addresses compatibility issues with iOS 18 beta. Head to the App Store and see if there’s an update available.
    2. Sometimes a simple reinstall can resolve app crashing issues. Try deleting the WordPress app and then reinstalling it from the App Store.
    3. If the above steps don’t work, consider reporting the issue to both WordPress and Apple. This will help them identify and fix the problem in future updates.

Additionally, While you reviewed the logs, were there any error messages you could share? Sometimes specific error codes can provide clues about the cause of the crash.

    Alternative Solution (if applicable):

Use the WordPress website. While not ideal, you can still access your WordPress site through the mobile web browser on your iPhone. This might be a temporary solution until a fix is available.

Although i have not worked on WordPress using iOS 18 beta, but while i was working with android 15 beta and i faced the similar kind of issue for my new WordPress site Livience Unione.

Anyways, try the above steps and if that still doesn’t help, try downgrading your software to some stable version of current iOS.

    Hopefully, these suggestions help!

    Hi @dcmcshan,

Currently, iOS 18 is in beta, and we are aware that there might be some compatibility issues with beta versions of operating systems. Our team is actively working on ensuring that our app will be fully compatible with the official release of iOS 18. In the meantime, we recommend using the app on a stable version of iOS to ensure the best performance and user experience.

    I hope this helps.
