Not able to add a category inside the editor

    Hi

    I am starting from scratch with recreating an existing site. I plan on using Twenty Twenty Four and full site editing.
    I installed and activated the CPT plugin. Added a CPT and a CPT category and tag.
    Went to a new CPT post and was able to add a tag but not add a category. Clicking to Add a new CPT category I get a black background notification that says: Content, title, and excerpt are empty.

    Ehh hmm what should I do?

    Not sure what to suggest for that, to be honest. That’s not an error string that we have in the plugin.

    Is TwentyTwentyFour and CPTUI the only things installed and active at the moment? or are there other plugins presently active too?

    The only place I’m finding that specific error string is from https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-develop/blob/6.5.2/src/wp-includes/post.php#L4231-L4253 and that’s not a spot we have any out-of-box code interacting with. The specific line would be 4249

    Hey Michael

    It is a totall new site made with cPanel WP tools and the first thing I added was the CPT plugin. I will just delete the site and just do it the other way of downloading the newest WordPress and uploading the WP folder into the domain. Unzipping and then installing WP that way. Or I think it is that way atleast. It has been a while since I installed WP that way.
