I am also facing issues with styleing in the new learning mode. The only customisation options available are to change the Primary colour, the background colour and the content colour.

Also I have a redirection issue for annonymous users. I have a preview lesson for annonymous users. Once a user is not logged in and in lesson preview mode, they get an alert to purchase course or sign in.

When they click on the purchase course, it should redirect to the course. Rather it redirects to the login form.

How can I fix this? Any ideas? Anyone facing these issues too?

Is there also a way of activating the learning mode for a specific course only and not globally? This way, I can try the learning mode on a test course before activating globally.

  • Hello there!
We are planning to change the redirect to how it worked before, pointing to the course page. Here is the GitHub issue to track: https://github.com/Automattic/sensei/issues/4771

    Hey @deetee1!

Just to understand your case, after purchasing the product, the user would have to login anyway to access the course, right? Or do you have a customization that the user doesn’t need to login to take the course?

You can activate it only for specific courses through the Course editor sidebar. Check this link for more details:

@deetee1, I think I got your use case. The student adds the products to the cart, and just after that, you want to ask them to log in, right?

Please, let me know if I misunderstood something, but we’re creating a Pull Request to change the behavior of the purchase button on that notice to redirect to the course page as you requested, instead of the login page. 😉

@renathoc Here is the use case i referred to. A potential student visits my course. They see that they can preview a lesson. So the preview that lesson. Then they are propmted to either purchase the course or login to view their puchased courses. If they click on the “purchase” course, it should take them to the course page, as @yscik8 mentioned above. There, as in my case, they can review the course outline and details again or directly add this to their cart. This is not the case at the moment. If they are already registered, they can then click on the login button to go to their “my course” page.

Thank you for your help @deetee1! The change will be in our next release soon! 😉

Creo que lo ideal sería que el botón “comprar curso” redirija al usuario al producto vinculado, de esa manera le resultaría sencillo comprar el curso.

    Hi @samuel2812

We primarily provide support in English. So, for now, I’ll be replying in English, but you can respond to me in Spanish, and I’ll enter your messages into Google Translate, I hope that’s ok.

Our development team is aware of this error and they are working in a fix that will be deployed soon on the next Sensei 4.0.2 version. Keep an eye when the update is available or feel free to check back with us here for a status update.

    Best,
    Alba
