Looking for a free plugin that will auto send to subscribers whenever new posts or pages are entered into the following pages – Chapter News , Foundation News and Politics & Religion. All these pages are in the main menu, please see site for details.

What do you use? Looking for advice to avoid having to install plugins one at a time, see if they work the way I want them to and, if not, install another one. Going to give “Newsletter” a try. There must be a way to vet plugins without having to install and then evaluate each one until you stumble on one that works.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Jetpack includes a subscriptions module that will allow visitors to subscribe to post updates via email. They will receive email notifications anytime a new post is added.

You can add the sign-up form as a widget via Appearance → Widgets and adding Blog Subscriptions (Jetpack).

For more information on this and other ways to implement it, Jetpack has an article over at https://jetpack.com/support/subscriptions/.

Reviewing plug-in pages at https://wordpress.org/plugins/, reading reviews, checking documentation, searching Google, and searching for demos are the basic ways of identifying plugins you may want to use.

If you are only testing them, you could set up a staging version of your site or a basic test site locally that way it does not impact your live site. There are many different ways to do this. You could use a service such as Local by Flywheel or one of the other options over at https://wordpress.org/support/article/installing-wordpress-on-your-own-computer/
