Greets Folks:
I am looking for a specific type of YouTube plugin.

There are tons of such plugins. I have tried several of them, but I have not found the one I’d like.

I’m looking for a free one that, when I post a new video on my YouTube channel, will create a post on my WP site without my intervention. If it doesn’t go that far, at least create a draft of it so that I can complete what needs to be done before posting.

Just that simple….I hope. What say you?

You can also easily use task automation platforms like Zappier or IFTTT to do this, no WordPress plugin needed.

Example Zappier tasks:

Hey thanks, @akramul; I’ll test that one out, sometime in the next day or two.

@george – Looks like potential solutions, but gonna stick with plugins for now because they are self-contained and aren’t dependent on a third-party service, kinda like using my own cloud service instead of Dropbox. I appreciate your sharing though, so will keep them in mind if need be.

I tested the plugin Automatic YouTube® Video Posts
It created the posts based on my YT channel.

Although outdated, I have not noticed any errors. Since it is the free version, the import of videos will take about 15-30min on its own.

@abretado1985 Thanks so much for the recommendation. I actually installed it, and it works as advertised and posts nicely. The only thing that I need to figure out is to not have the thumbnails be used as “featured images” because they take over the default header of my WP theme. But I do like that the thumbnail and video are part of the posts.

I appreciate the help!
