    Thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help.

    This situation could be caused by a change that will now show the PayPal button blanked out, when the merchant does not have Reference Transactions active on their account and when the customer is trying to pay for a subscription product.

    If this is the case, then the plugin is working as intended. Please check your system report and find if Reference Transactions are active for your account in the bottom under the area called “WooCommerce PayPal Payments”.

    You can correct this by requesting Reference Transactions to be activated for your account via these instructions.

    If this situation does not apply to you, please share with us the system report, so we can take a look at that.

    Reference Transactions is already enabled, and it was working properly in plugin version 2.2.2
    But it’s not working in plugin version 2.3.1

    Thank you for providing that information. That’s very strange, and I have not seen this before.

    Maybe you want to:

    • Test if reverting to version 2.2.2 corrects this behavior?
    • Test if our upcoming release corrects this, we just released the first beta version here.

    If only the first option helps (or none), please open a private engagement, so we can get all the details of the site and review the setup.
