• The Plugin works but with a complete restriction. You can export the database and complete site content but you can’t even import the database on new site. What is the point of offering a half-baked products to sell pro version?

All the deliciousbrains plugins are great but they all have a lite version with these kind of restrictions which make the plugin useless and is the way to sell pro plugins.

If i had to go dev way to import, i could easily export the db, find replace in code editor and import to new site and use sftp to upload wp-content without any plugin. there are free plugins which offer complete migration feature.

I used to admire these brains but lost faith in their products. I may reconsider changing the review after retrying the plugin in near future.

Hi @aryanrajseo, thank you for the honest feedback. We will keep this in mind as we work to strike the right balance between Lite and Pro features.

To provide some background, we recently expanded the database export functionality to also include site files, and we decided to make this feature available for free in WP Migrate Lite as soon as it was available. In doing so, the WordPress community now has a free solution for bundling their entire site and importing it into a local development environment using Local: https://deliciousbrains.com/wp-migrate-db-pro/doc/importing-wordpress-local-development-environment/

If you’re not importing to Local, I understand that the import limitation is frustrating. We are exploring the possibility of improving the import capabilities in WP Migrate Lite, and I hope that you’ll give us a try again in the future.

Hi, thank you for taking this as a note. I am aware as a dev that import feature will work with Local app. However, when i am going to install a migrate plugin, i have the plan to migrate a site. When i am exporting something using this plugin, i should be able to import back. Think about a beginner user. What you will suggest after he exported files and db from site1 and want to move it to site2?

I am not against offering the pro plugin. the plugin is beautiful and it works and trust me everyone loves it. However a lite user will struggle without the pro plugin.

    Thanks.
