    Hi,

I’ve finally got enabled by PayPal to use Apple & Google Pay. I’ve followed the setup documentation and the plugin settings are showing the availability of both services:

But when I visit my page in a Chrome browser with a logged-in Google account which holds a valid payment option, I’m unable to see the button. Instead, when inspecting the element, I see an empty wrapper:

The Apple Pay button appears, but the payment fails every time I try it. I can see no helpful API logs at PayPal Developer Console, inside the browser console or inside the enabled logs for the plugin.

Any idea why this is not working?

    This is my page: agency.enwikuna.de

    Hello @enwikuna

To troubleshoot the issue with the Google Pay button not rendering, it’s a good idea to conduct a thorough conflict test. Start by switching to the default theme, Storefront, and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Payments. This will help determine if the issue is related to the theme or another plugin.

For Apple Pay, please confirm whether the validation file was uploaded manually or automatically after you added your domain to the PayPal dashboard. If it was done automatically, I recommend repeating the process.

Although it seems like it should work correctly, I also encountered this issue at your checkout page when testing it on an Apple device.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
    Krystian

    Hi,

can you confirm that Apple & Google Pay works on your end? We did several tests without any success.

We’ve tried both uploading the Apple validation file manually and automatically using your plugin. Both didn’t work.

    Hello @enwikuna

The file should automatically upload to the host upon successful domain registration, theres no need to manually upload it.

I would try it on different pages other than the Classic Checkout page (e.g. single product) to see how it behaves there – but currently its enabled only on checkout – could you enable it also temporarily on product page?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
    Krystian

    Hi,

yes, that’s how it’s currently implemented. So if I understand you correctly – when you try it on a development page inside your system, you can confirm, that everything works, right?

Yes, that’s correct. We are not aware of any widespread issues of this kind; it seems to be isolated to your environment. Please let us know when you have enabled the button on the product page or cart page.

    Looking forward to your update.

    Hi,

we’ve cloned the page and tried a lot and found out that it’s caused by the WooSubscriptions plugin. If we disable it, the Google Pay button is there. If Apple Pay works, is not 100 % sure since we’re unable to get the button to be visible on the staging.

    Hi,

can we give you access to our staging for testing? I think this would be the best solution. You can do with the staging what you want. We can copy it over after you are done debugging. This would help a lot…

I’m having the same issue where Apple Pay keeps getting “Payment Failed” error. Has this been resolved?

    Hi @vuster,

they are ignoring my bug request and are not fixing the bug. I’m currently looking for a different payment plugin.
