    Hello,

We have been using reSmush for a long time and today my client contacted me and asked me to download all the images from his WordPress site and resize them to be smaller because he uploaded them all at 5000×3000 which is massive.

Resmush did its job and optimised the images but I have now replaced the large images with resized images and we simply want to force a complete resmush.

I did find the “Force optimize” button but that is per image. I cant do that on 2000 images. It will take me forever.

How do I do this for all of them with a click of a button???

So I haven’t received support on this issue but I changed the quality to 91 and it gave me the option of resmushing. Not the most elegant option as I will have to put it back again to 92 after but it is a workaround.

We need a button to re-optimise all.

    Hi @bluesteam,

Glad to know that you found a workaround ! Normally you don’t have to change your original pictures as WP manages images styles (and the website should use these image styles instead of the original one).
Anyway for your manipulation, the small change of picture quality will do the job. If some other guys are also interested, we will think about, even if we prefer keep a simple interface without a ton of options 🙂

    Cheers!

You can still keep a simple interface and additionaly have a minimised “Advanced” section where people can do more advanced tasks such as resmush all. The above option should be a standard feature. Thanks for the plugin anyways.

We’ll think about in a future release 🙂

If I remember right: if you want to keep quality=92 just save 91, then save 92 again and the button stays active.
Yes it’s a trick, per the UI shouldn’t be needed, but I totally understand the need to protect the web service from whack-a-mole on the RESMUSH EVERYTHING button.
