I used own hosted WP many years ago, I am back. I do not have any idea if it is possible to do with WP what I would like or not, and I do not even know how to look for the right plugin as my English is not perfect, maybe there are specific words, expressions which I should know how to look for amoung plugins.

So, I would like to create my website as a guesthouse agency (not as a guesthouse owner). I will create separate presentation pages for each guesthouse (so I will do it). But after a big number of guesthouses, I will not be able to make manually their calendar which shows their still-free, reservable days. So I need admin surfaces for each owners to generate their own page with a single calendar, where they can show if the guesthouse is still free for specific days, or not. From the presentation page (created by me) will be linked to the own guesthouse calendar when guests want to check the available days.

So, my first question is, if it is possible with my own hosted WP, and my second question if somone can suggest a plugin where I can further with my project.

There are many calendar related plugins : https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/calendar/

Review them and see if any can work for you.

If any questions, please ask in that plugin’s dedicated support forum.

If none can work for you, then you may have to custom design one.

    Hello,

This solution is quite complex as it appears that you are looking for a travel platform. You may try searching for a multivendor booking engine which could be twinned with WooCommerce for the payment, although I’m not certain it exists so you *may* require a custom solution.

    @t-p – thanks, I will look around…
@phillsav – thanks, but maybe I did not explain it clearly. I would not like any bank transaction, selling, etc. I would like to use my WP website only for making separate admin pages for each guesthouse/lodge owner as a member, I would also install for them a calendar plugin in their admin page, where they could handle their days which are already reserved in their guesthouse/lodge.
In my guesthouse/lodge agency webpage (not the WP website), I would create the guesthouse/lodge presentation page for clients and that page would be linked to the lodge owner WP page where my clients could check the reservation dates.
I know, it seems to be complicated but my big problem is that I am not able to install and developpe PHP and database based calendars, especially to make it handle by each owners via their own admin page.
Long ago I had a community plugin and I made a complex and serious community website, but that plugin was not enough secured (it was hacked finally twice and the FBI called me in France because of the hacker’s abuses with credit cards), also now I create websites for hobby only by HTML5, CSS and jQuery plugins, or simple jQuery scripts, so I would need at least six month or more to learn WP, PHP and database more deeply.
I think now I could express myself a bit clearer 🙂

    Hi @igorlaszlo

Thank you for writing out the general scope of the project.

I don’t know of a plugin which fulfills this exact requirement as it is quite custom fit.

I had a similar problem when building an events site with a calendar where members would post their own events. I built the calendar as a custom query and used a Custom Post Type for the Event page while tieing in ACF to complete the information required. Hope that helps- good luck with your project!

@phillsav Thanks, I see… then I am thinking to make it a bit more complicated but it can work for me: I help to open a new wordpress.com page for each owner, I help them to install a calendar (I saw this, I must study it how it works and if it is what is suitable for me: https://wordpress.org/plugins/booking/), and they can handle it regularly, and clients can see that page… It is more work but will be fine.

@igorlaszlo This sounds like a custom project for sure. Have you posted the project in WordPress Jobs yet?

@lordspace No, I did not, but now it does not have actuality anymore as I could not wait so long, and I resolved the problem in another way.
I close my post with marking as resolved, and thanks !
