Fatal errors with deprecated functions

    HI, my website keeps stopping and my provider asked me to make a php error log. this error comes up frequently, please can you help, thank you Karin.

    Also this error which leads to a timeout error

    I see this notice all the time too:

    [03-May-2024 08:34:49 UTC] The Automattic\WooCommerce\Admin\API\Options::get_options function is deprecated since version 6.3.

    But it’s a warning only and therefore not likely to be the source of your timeout error. Either you legitimately need more memory, or more likely you are doing something that is causing an infinite loop (at least that is what is what happens to me).

    Best recommendation would be to start with what were you doing when this timeout happened. Then do “the plugin dance” and start disabling plugins until you get things working. Then at least you know where the problem is coming from. If you still have this issue with only core Woo installed and a default theme, then you might have found a core bug and you’ll want to share steps on how to reproduce it so that the woo team can look in to it.

    I think you have it right with infinite loop. But wow, reproducing it… I am not sure. I have a hundred visitors or so shopping on my site for very few items (one of a kind, second hand) and it gets to a point where the site shuts down. Increasing memory definitely doesn’t help, the error msgs continue. I am not sure how to shut down and test, I also have wcfm and multiple vendors… I can only do it on Sundays… but I will try tomorrow.

    You can create a staging site to make the test. This way you will not impact your live store. You can find steps to creating a staging site here.
