Hello, this plugin works beautifully with default posts, but when I delete posts from the custom post type, it just leaves unjoined attachments in the library.

    Hi @ivantus,

We have tested the functionality with latest version of WordPress 5.9.3 with custom post types as well and found no issues. Please make sure you have deleted the custom post and not just move it to trash. Moving the post to trash does not delete the post and it stays in the database forever.

To verify the functionality, we recommend you to create fresh post and attach new files to it, attach a featured image or PDF document to the post and then try to delete the post.

Let us know if you need further help.

    Thanks,
    Edris

I am testing this with The Events Calendar and it is not working for me on Event deletion. Hoping for a solution as well!

@roundbox I just tested the plugin with The Events Calendar. I have inserted an image in the event description and added a featured image. The plugin deletes both images on event deletion.

Make sure you are not just moving the event to trash and deleting the event permanently, it will delete all the attachments associted to that particular event.

Note: Attachments will be deleted only when they are not in use in any page/post/custom post type.

To verify the functionality, I recommend you to create fresh event and attach new files to it, attach a featured image or PDF document to the event and then try to delete the event.

Let me know if you need further help.

    Thanks,
    Edris
