Disable Automatic Alt Descriptions

    WordPress appears to be adding an alt description for images, even when I don’t include on the actual media.

    The issue is when these images are “decorative” as the automatic addition is causing issues.

    Is there a way to prevent WordPress from automatically creating alt descriptions?

    WordPress doesn’t provide automated alt tags, so if that’s happening, it has to be one of your plugins or possibly even your theme.

    Thank you – that’s very helpful as the theme developer is telling me it’s a WordPress function. #facepalm.
