• Hi,
My client has an old wordpress (version 3.2.1) site which I have backed up and restored on a sub.domain on my server while we create her a new site. Since completing the ‘restore’ however, I can no longer login into the subdomain, it takes me to a page saying there is no update required – wordpress database is up to date and redirects to the live site. I have tried a few recommendations on how to fix this but nothing seems to work.
    Any advice?

    Also the line:
Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/content/45/6853745/html/wp-includes/user.php on line 660
Often appears at the top of the page.

  • Hi @cwalkerO,

When you took backup from old server did you replace site_url and home_url in Database?
Please replace both the parameters in your backed up database it.

Otherwise, you need to add below both line in your wp-config.php file and replace your site URL with “www.example.com”.

    define('WP_HOME', 'http://www.example.com'); // no trailing slash
    define('WP_SITEURL', 'http://www.example.com'); // no trailing slash
