Can’t get rid of widgets in sidebar

I am trying to make a site with full width and no sidebar using xMag. Pages only, no posts. When I customize xMag I pick Theme Settings/General/Layout Style/Full width. Under Widgets/Sidebar I make sure there is nothing there.

A search box and the Meta widget show up.

If I put a search box in the sidebar the Meta widget goes away but I can never get rid of the search box or make the page full width.

My site is here although depending if I’m working on it or not it may or may not show the Meta widget.
