• For moderate browser widths, our home page hides both the “burger” icon and the navigation bar, so it’s impossible to navigate to the rest of our website. How can we fix our website so that one or the other is always visible for all widths?

In narrow browser windows, the burger icon does appear, and in wide browser windows, the navigation bar does appear, but it’s not obvious to users that they need to change the browser width if neither appear.

We have a custom theme and I’m not sure of its origin. Presumably it’s a fairly minor variation of some more standard theme. Our website is farwestnordic.org.

looks like you are using Enfold theme
the Enfold theme support team would be a good place to start to ask your question about adjusting the media queries for the menu displays.

    Hi there @wbc51,

We have a custom theme and I’m not sure of its origin. Presumably it’s a fairly minor variation of some more standard theme. Our website is farwestnordic.org.

As previously noted, It appears you are using the Enfold theme which is developed by Kriesi.at and sold on Themeforest.

Your best bet is contacting their support. There are CSS Media Queries at multiple breakpoints that will need to be adjusted to ensure a navigation option appears at all widths. It appears the primary issue is from 989px to 1140px.

If you cannot get their support, you will need to look into ensuring there are isn’t conflicting CSS being applied from Customize > Additional CSS or from a plugin. You also may need to craft the custom CSS to fix this yourself or get a consultant.
