    Hi,

I noticed that some new elements are added to woocommerce?: lodash.min.js react.min.js react-dom.js (this one is very heavy – over 100 kb)

And 20 more similar. Why it happened? IT broken my optimization.

I rolled back to 8.4.0 and problem is gone.So after 8.4.0 WC adds 30 useless JS – what is going on? Did you noticed that on your websites?

I understand that this is something added, but we don’t have to focus on this one file (lodash). There are 20 new JS that were not there and will be added!
As I showed in the screenshot, there are a lot of these files:

SCREEN 1: updated WP (8.5.1) with lots of garbage:
    https://ibb.co/SxYNvdS

SCREEN2: stable version of WP (8.4.0), no garbage
    https://ibb.co/RPX43j4

What have I to do with it? this completely kills my optimization.

I understand and I agree. However, I do not think this will go away anytime soon. You can use cache tool Super Page Cache for Cloudflare – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org or any other similar tool. I am sorry not being able to fix this for you.

@doublezed2 @anastas10s guys can you look and check my previous posts? I just want to remove all of these this added after 8.4

    Hi,

According to me, Cometto is right.

    On cart page:

    WC 8.4 —> 86 js files
    WC 8.5.1 —> 116 js files

Yes, some of these js files (I did not watch this precisely), come from wordpress.
But, if there are not here with WC 8.4, and there are here with WC 8.5.1, it seems there are, at least, called by WC 8.5.1

It’s a pity to see code growing, after a while, it’s no longer poetry.
    My 2 cents…

so im not alone, i checked few websites and its added to them also. I think ppl could didnot realize that it happened. I understand 2-3 js, not 20-30! its dramatic for this moment, i stay with 8.4 version

    @cometto

You are most definitely not alone. I am currently in the process of developing an extremely fine-tuned custom site. The ONLY external plugins being used are Woocommerce & Query Monitor. I don’t even use the Gutenberg Editor. My scripts have been bloated beyond belief with this update.

Had I have known this would be the case, I’d have opted to build something in Laravel.

Woocommerce official just became Elementor/Yoast SEO. Bloated marketing, drag-and-drop style plugins.

Wait until thousands of e-commerce websites discover they no longer rank well on Google because their Page Speed score just got annihilated.

Many thanks to aljullu on this post: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/43743

The extra JS issue lies in a newly introduced Order Attribution feature that was turned on by default in the latest update. Dumb move by Woo, but turning it off is the solution.

    Hope this solves your issue.

Can confirm this economic sabotage destroying my sites as well.
Not the first time they have attacked us like this.
Is it their job to ensure our failure?

And why did I have to click add block paragraph to even reply to a comment? Am I missing something about how the web works?

Thought just typing a reply would be sufficient.
    This block weapon is everywhere.

In my case downgrading woocommerce from 8.5.1 to 8.4. did not help much. From 50 extra loading js files it went down to 28 extra js.

As regards to the solution, the plugin support said that they were working on this and they were aiming towards woocommerce 8.6.

I wanted to find the thread for the reference, but could not.
