We’re implementing CookieBot and we’ve selected the option to hide YouTube videos and display a placeholder if the visitor hasn’t accepted marketing cookies. However, the placeholder isn’t being displayed. How can I get it to show up?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello Colin,

You can do that by going to the Prior Consent page on the backend.
On that page, you have to “check” Embed Autocorrect and also “check” display a placeholder. This will display the placeholder message instead of the video.

Does it make sense to you?

    Take care,

    Aytac

    Thanks for the response.

After further digging I discovered the client was using the iframe embed from YouTube Studio rather than merely pasting the public URL. As a result, the regex for Prior Consent -> embed autocorrect wasn’t catching it. The “Automatic Cookie Blocking” setting for the main plugin was catching and blocking it.
