I am hereby officially asking @mihche if you plan to continue development on this plugin, or not.

There are 100k+ installs – and as of now, the majority of them will result in problems with the PHP8 compatibility issues not resolved in the code base. This means fatal errors, because the codebase is by now not anymore compliant with the PHP standard.

I am willing to contribute, or take over the plugin, if you need help, or plan to not maintain it anymore.

Now I had to completely remove it as it doesn’t work anymore (even though it was looking okay at first). What is the best alternative please ?

I have tried to contact @mihche on here as well as via slack and their website without any success. I would also like to offer to take over the support and maintenance of this plugin.

I have already made some fixes for my own purposes and have also previously posted about updates.

Thank you, but even with your fixes I still had problems, so this plugin is totally useless now and there are better options anyway.

@clitopwebsite This is due to the fact that I haven’t updated my updates recently. I would only be able to dedicate some time if I took over this plugin to bring it all up to date.

I would also be willing to put some time into maintaining this as its an extremely useful plugin and offers functionality that other plugins do not.

Absolutely, the main thing that I use that other plugins do not is to augment the s2member pro login widget. Details of this intergration can be found here.

If another plugin offered that functionality that I’d probably move to that as Invisible reCaptcha has been been developing more and more bugs as the WordPress codebase matures.

There is a formal process for taking over a plug-in and I’d suggest we follow that rather than forking it.
