Va Fail, Elaine is a main quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
It starts immediately after No Place Like Home.
Walkthrough[]
As Geralt wakes up, everybody else is already gathered and it's time to lift Uma's curse. Yennefer will ask you to brew The Decoctions of the Grasses. For that, Geralt needs Mandrake, Ribleaf, Bryonia, Albino bruxa tongue, Manticore poison gland and Forktail spinal fluid which you acquired during To Bait a Forktail... The first 3 you may already have, but regardless you will find all 6 in a small chest nearby, so no need to worry if you are missing any of the common ingredients.
Just brew the potions from your alchemy tab and bring them to Yennefer. The rest is entirely scripted and the few dialogue choices make no difference. After the curse is lifted, Uma is revealed to be Avallac'h, who gives Geralt a Magic firefly to follow into the Isle of Mists. The witchers and Yennefer then quickly plan their next move before Geralt sets off to recruit allies and find Ciri. When the conversation ends, this quest and Ugly Baby will complete.
Note: A lot of quest notifications follow the completion of this one, simply because Ugly Baby completes and The Isle of Mists starts. Refer to those two pages for further info.

- Traveling via Geralt's most beloved means of transport, teleportation, Yennefer reached Kaer Morhen first - and immediately started bossing everyone around. Not only did she divvy out chores to the witchers like a schoolmarm whipping lazy pupils into order, she also refused to reveal any details of her plans. Though Geralt was not exactly charmed by this behavior, he knew he had to help her - for Ciri's sake.
- Yennefer and the witchers' hard work paid off. After long hours of painstaking labor, after Geralt had held back his disgust and disturbing childhood memories to administer painful treatments to Uma, finally, at long last, the curse was lifted. This gave them answers to the questions that had troubled them for so long - and posed a host of new ones as well...

Notes[]
- The quest title is Elder Speech and means "Goodbye, beauty".
- One of the stories to tell Yennefer is about Dandelion buying the sword. This event took place in Season of Storms.
- For unknown reasons, the Forktail spinal fluid gathered during To Bait a Forktail... is a different item than the one used to brew the potions during this quest.
- There is a lot of deleted content relating to this quest and Ugly Baby overall. In one particular scene, Yennefer, worn out by the constant spell casting, needs to eat but obviously her hands are tied up. She will then either ask Geralt (if she was romanced) or Vesemir (if she wasn't romanced) to fix her an omelette. This can be re-added into the game with the console command: addfact(q401_cooking_enabled). The two versions are posted in the videos section below. Yennefer's notes, relating to curing Uma, were also supposed to be found.
