Silver Towers[N 1] is a elven palace and capital of the region of Dol Blathanna.[1]

Biography[]

Built sometime after the Age of Migration in the 1240s BR by the Aen Seidhe, the elves serving under House Feleaorn[2] eventually abandoned the palace around the 1160s due to human expansion.[1]

Capital of the Free Elves[]

In July 1267, while under the control of a Vengerberger governor, Dol Blathanna was awarded to Francesca Findabair by Emperor Emhyr var Emreis, who became queen of the region. The governor fled before the sight of the so-called "Free Elves", who were coming in the rear of Emhyr's army; taking most of the valuables and furniture of the ancient elven palace before burning the gardens.[1]

After her ascension, Francesca met in the capital with Filavandrel aén Fidháil of House Feleaorn, who believed they should call their kind home and stop fighting like common bandits. However, Francesca revealed as part of the deal that made her queen, she was forced to officially renounce the Scoia'tael and not offer them any aid, as the emperor wanted the guerrilla force to continue creating chaos for the Northern Kingdoms, leaving them to fight there. She then asked for his forgiveness and while Filavandrel did forgive her, he stated he didn't know if the other elves would.[1]

Footnotes[]

  1. In the novels, the capital of Dol Blathanna is only mentioned by name as the residence of House Feleaorn. It is in the 2nd Edition of Wiedźmin: Gra Wyobraźni where the location named "Silver Towers" is shown to be the capital.
