Poleviks are dwarves with green, grass-like hair and beards, perceived by Nordlings as nasty savages.

Nordlings commonly describe poleviks as deformed, "nasty buggers" that roam nude and "lead innocent people astray".
Assimilated poleviks, while scarce, do exist, and despite gossips they do wear clothes. One of such was an actor who belonged to Oxenfurt's drama society.[1]

- Polevik is a creature in Slavic mythology, described as a dark (earthy) skinned dwarf with grass or hay instead of hair. In contrast with poludnitse (noonwraiths), poleviks are rather benevolent, doing harm only to those who sleep or drink alcohol at work.
