Lesser red mutagen is an alchemy ingredient and is used to craft red mutagens, alghoul decoction and reliever's decoction.
They can also be used to augment abilities but are not as effective as their regular or greater counterparts. When placed in the diamond-shaped slot in the character panel, they give +5% to attack power, which increases by 5% up to a max of +20% if all 3 skills attached to it are red.
Like all regular mutagens, they drop from many creatures, but are rarer than the other two colors and generally only dropped by stronger, rarer monsters such as:
- Alghoul
- Devourer
- Drowned dead
- Foglet
- Fiend
- Nekker
- Nekker warrior
- Arachasae variations
- Arachnomorph
- Botchling
- Draconids
- Ekimmara
- Endrega variations
- Katakan
Sometimes it can be dropped by harpies, ghouls, as well as monster nest "bosses" regardless of species.

- In an undocumented change for Patch 1.08, all mutagen icons were changed. However, there was still a bug for those on Steam and Origin that didn't reflect this and was later fixed in Patch 1.22. Despite this, some may still see the original icons instead, even with a fully patched game.
