Larkin was a scout within Queen Meve's army, and considered by the Queen to be one of her best soldiers. He frequently spoke with Isbel, to whom he confided that he left behind a newborn daughter in Lyria — his wife having been in confinement when Meve left for Aedirn.
He was killed by an arrow during a Scoia'tael ambush when the Queen was heading to Aldersberg during the Second Northern War, just a few weeks before the Peace of Cintra.
