The School of the Wolf, located at Kaer Morhen, used a variety of training equipment to train witchers.
Pendulum[]
The pendulum is located in the courtyard and trains in footwork, balance, precision, and swordplay. The pendulum itself has spikes along its bottom and the trainee can only move along evenly spaced out poles. To add to the danger, on one side of the pendulum is a straight drop.
When Geralt first brought Ciri to Kaer Morhen, the witchers helped train her on this, eventually to the point that she was able to hop around on the poles, do flips, and dismount with a backflip, all while blindfolded.
Later on, in 1272, Geralt had a dream where he was once more training Ciri on the pendulum.
Training dummy[]
Dummies are used to increase the skill and power of sword strikes.
In 1272, Geralt had a dream where he and Vesemir finished training just in time to see Ciri hit the helmet so hard it flew off the dummy and went over the wall.
Training posts[]
Training posts are used to increase the skill and power of sword strikes. They are seen but not used in the prologue.
