Jean-Luc was a worker for Jean-Christophe de Bourbeau, who owned the Tufo vineyard in Toussaint, and was having an affair with his employer's wife, Andrée de Bourbeau. At one point she'd given him a silver pendant that contained a lock of her hair inside. He eventually met his end at the hands of the Monster of Tufo.
