The Ismena is a river in Temeria and a tributary of the Pontar. Rising in the northern foothills of Mahakam, it hosts the cities of Ellander and Carreras along the banks. The city of Vizima is at the mouth of the Ismena, where it empties into Lake Vizima.[1]
The river also flows through the region of White Orchard, where it has a small tributary. In this region, the river's water turned noxious during the Third Northern War in 1272, given the large amount of human blood and remains dumped into it following a battle.[2]
