Caldemeyn was the alderman of Blaviken, Libushe's husband, and Marilka's father.[2]
Biography[]
He was friendly with Geralt and when the witcher dropped by, Caldemeyn warmly greeted him and let him stay at his home. However, when Geralt got caught in the middle of Stregobor and Renfri's fight with one another, the witcher had to kill all of Renfri's band and Renfri herself to protect the town's people. As the locals didn't know what Renfri had been planning, they merely saw Geralt savagely cut down a group of people and began to throw stones at the witcher. Caldemeyn called them off, but then, knowing the townsfolk would never forget about the incident, told Geralt to leave and never come back.[2]
Along with his daughter, he attended the wedding of Geralt and Yennefer.[1]
Notes[]
- He appeared in The Hexer TV series in episode 10, "Mniejsze zło".
- In the non-canon short story Something Ends, Something Begins, Annika is described as being his daughter.
- In Piotr Krasnowolski's translation, Caldemeyn is referred to as a sheriff not an alderman.
