Deirdre of Kaedwen was the daughter of King Benda of Kaedwen. She was to marry Temerian Prince Amavet, but the plan was abandoned after Amavet had an affair with the young sorceress Ilona Laux-Antille, who subsequently ruined any chances of Amavet and Deirdre being married.[1]
