Ddiddiwedht is a desert that forms part of an arid world inhabited by sandcrabs.

History[]

Formerly an aquatic planet with the Ddiddiwedht as a seabed, eons ago the world's residents exhausted its natural resources until it became completely uninhabitable by any lifeforms save the sandcrabs that relied on water only every couple of months, as well as a number of hardy shrubs.

In 1272, while attempting to reach the world of the Aen Elle, Geralt of Rivia and Avallac'h accidently landed in the desert before being attacked by sandcrabs. Avallac'h then quickly summoned a portal and the pair continued on.

Trivia[]

  • Eons ago, a form of intelligent ocean life thrived there. It is a clear reference to Solaris, a novel written by Polish science-fiction writer Stanisław Lem.
