Davor's Abyss was a diamond mine belonging to Clan Fuchs in Mahakam.

The diamonds mined in the Davor's Abyss were very popular at the courts of the Northern Kingdoms. The precious metal decorated crowns, scepters, chalices and ceremonial weapons. The dwarves themselves also used the benefits of their mine, creating diamond drill bits and blades for cutting mountain crystal. Dwarves mined diamonds there until one winter they were attacked by monsters.[1]

History[]

One winter, monsters attacked the mine from all sides. After five days of fighting, the Fuchs clan decided to retreat to Boro's Rump. The Fuchs wanted to return in the spring, but after Clan Fuchs' mysterious disappearance, the mine had become a nest of ghouls and other beasts.[1]

In 1267, Davor's Abyss was finally cleaned from beasts and flooded again by Queen Meve of Lyria and Rivia and her corps, who reached Mahakam in order to ask for help against Nilfgaard in the Second Northern War, to Brouver Hoog, the Elder-in-Chief of the enclave.

Brouver Hoog, who was investigating on the mysterious fate of Clan Fuchs, wasn't happy with Meve's work, as all the evidence ended up being destroyed.[1]
