Broinne was a Nilfgaardian nobleman and count of Broinne. Although he was married to Dervla Tryffin, he granted her as a concubine to Emhyr var Emreis, the Imperator of Nilfgaard.
Later, when Emhyr repudiated his wife Dervla in order to marry Cirilla of Cintra, Broinne, along with Joachim de Wett, Ardal aep Dahy, Count d'Arvy, Berengar Leuvaarden, and Stefan Skellen, conspired to remove Emhyr var Emreis from the imperial throne and put Morvran Voorhis in his place.
