Beeches was a tar-producing settlement in Kaedwen known for a peaceful coexistence of its inhabitants and the local nonhumans.[3]

Around 1266, Scoia'tael forest bands attacked the settlement, hacking the tar-makers to pieces without mercy, and was later re-occupied by Kaedwenian soldiers.[3]

- While the name Beeches appears in Blood of Elves, the book doesn't specify whether it's a settlement or an area. The first edition of Wiedźmin: Gra Wyobraźni and numerous fan-made maps assume it's a village, whereas the second edition depicts it as a region.
