Gori: Cuddly Carnage Wants Your Blood!

Following a change to the way blood is portrayed to pass age rating rules. Gori: Cuddly Carnage will have ‘purple juice’ instead of blood in the console versions for in Japanese, Chinese and Korean regions. Whilst we were addressing getting the news about this out to the players, the team here at Wired and Gori’s developers Angry Demon Studio thought this was a purrfect opportunity to use our ferocious feline friend to have a real world impact!

With all the digital blood now being saved, we’ve decided to team up with the Gori team and donate our OWN blood in the UK and Sweden, and now we are putting the call out to the gaming public to do the same! Spilling blood is radical when you’re a lethal cat in video games  – but in real life, giving blood to help others in need is equally badass! If helping out people around the world in need isn’t enough of an incentive, those who take up the call will be immortalized in the coolest credit sequence ever created for a videogame.

If you share your selfie of yourself while giving blood on X/Twitter or Instagram, along with hashtag #GorisGotBlood you’ll be featured during the game’s credits as ‘Lifesaver’!

Join the cause and become a Lifesaver today!

We hope that at least whilst the blood may be gone in China, Korea and Japan, there is plenty in Gori: Cuddly Carnage to help save players’ lives. To celebrate these efforts, we’ve created a blood-filled, action-packed trailer.
