Octomom Confirms TV Deal

octomom_tv_show.jpg
Octomom Nadya Suleman is not going away anytime soon.

The mother of 14 - including octuplets born in January - has confirmed her TV show deal - but it won't be a reality show.

"What I'm doing with this TV show is basically creating documentaries about the lives of my children," Suleman, 33, tells Life & Style Weekly magazine. "It's going to be an ongoing thing, and it will follow them from now until they are 18."

All of Suleman's children are under 8 years old.

'24' Packing Up, Moving to NYC

24_new_york.jpg
Jack Bauer will say goodbye to Washington, D.C. and hello to New York City on the next season of "24."

After six season in Los Angeles and one in DC, the hit spy series will be set in Manhattan, despite being primarily shot in Los Angeles, reports EW.com.

During Day 8, CTU returns under the leadership of a new, male MBA-type character, who will be joined by two new twentysomething agents (one male, one female), "Slumdog Millionaire''s" Anil Kapoor as a peaceful Middle Eastern Leader and Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) - a character we certainly could have seen more of this season.

We can only imagine the types of obstacles hero Jack will encounter on the streets of New York City - unruly cabbies, a bustling city that never sleeps - but the real obstacle will be for the writers, who will have to find a way for fictional evils to terrorize a city that, in real life, is all-too-familiar with the topic at hand.

Production on the new season begins next month.

'Britain's Got Talent' Boyle Becomes Viral Star

When the frumpy, middle-aged Susan Boyle stepped onto the "Britain's Got Talent" stage and told judge Simon Cowell she dreams of becoming a professional singer, everyone laughed.

A dismissive audience and smirking judges' table - consisting of Cowell, actress Amanda Holden and "America's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan - immediately regretted their first impression as soon as Boyle opened her mouth to sing "I Dreamed a Dream" from the Broadway show Les Miserables.

"That was the biggest surprise I have had in three years of this show," said Morgan, adding, "that was stunning."

And from the always-snarky Cowell?

"Susan, I knew the minute you walked out on that stage that we were going to hear something extraordinary, and I was right," a joking Cowell said to Boyle over the screaming applause from the crowd.

The 47-year-old Scottish singer continues to get the last laugh as the video of her performance circles the web, making her an international sensation.

The "American Idol" judge is even lining up a record deal for Boyle, who is now being compared to last years "Britain's Got Talent" winner, singer Paul Potts, reports The Sun.

Watch the performance below, and see the full exchange on YouTube:

The Office Pool Bettor's Guide: 'American Idol' (Week 6)

idol_bettors_0415.jpg

idol_qt_0415.jpg
"American Idol" has become "Beat the Clock."

After last week's episode spilled more than eight minutes over, "Idol" producers last night chopped the judges comments in half with only two critiques per singer.

That change clearly unnerved Simon Cowell, who looked bored and restless (more than usual) when other judges spoke. You could feel Simon cringe every other performance, knowing his pearls of wisdom would never be heard.

Losing half of the judges had minimal gains for Fox -- "Idol" ran only 3 minutes and 55 seconds into "Fringe."

Guest mentor Quentin Tarantino directed the "Idols" on songs from movies. Although the bloody moviemaker came though with good advice, didn't it appear that the "Idols" blatantly ignored every tip?

'Idol' Fix: DeGarmo Stalker Spends Easter Behind Bars

diana_degarmo_stalker.jpg
Add Diana DeGarmo to the list of "American Idols" who have stalkers (paging Paula Abdul).

Tanye Maree Quattrocchi, 23, was convicted of blackmailing and stalking the season three runner-up in May 2007 and was sentenced to community service.

But the woman was locked up three months ago after she hacked into DeGarmo's MySpace account 700 (!) times between May 2008 and January.

Quattrocchi was refused bail and spent Easter behind bars.

More of the latest "Idol" news from around the world...

Wondering which two judges voted to save Scott MacIntyre (the blind wannabe who was voted off last week)? Find out here.

'24' Family Reunion

kim_bauer_returns.jpg
Elisha Cuthbert makes her return to "24" tonight as Kim Bauer for the highly anticipated reunion with her estranged father, Jack.

Jack has been infected with Starkwood's bioweapon, and the only treatment available is an experimental procedure using stem cells from a blood relative. Jack refuses the doctor's suggestion to contact daughter Kim, telling Rene, "I'm the one who's dying. It's my choice."

Last we saw Kim, she was dating a much-older clinical psychologist named Barry Landes, and cut off contact with Jack after he failed to keep her in the loop when he faked his death.

Whether it was the doctor, Rene or Jack himself, someone lets Kim in on Jack's deteriorating health condition, because the feisty and impulsive Kim returns for her seven-episode arc tonight without Barry, but with a child, reports Michael Ausiello - first photo to the right and promo after the jump.

Are you happy to see Kim return?

Bret Picks Third 'Rock of Love'

rock_of_love_bus_winner.jpg
Ever since Ashley was booted from the bus bearing the name "Rock of Love," we knew Bret Michaels was in for a bumpy ride.

The rockstar narrowed his ladies down to two for last night's season finale: centerfold model and mom Taya (top) and gal next door Mindy.

The chemistry level between the bandana-wearing blonde and each of his final two tatas was far lower on the love meter when compared to season's past. But, who needs a real connection when silicone and stripper poles are thrown in the mix? That must have been what Bret was thinking when he decided to buy a ring for his leading lady.

Find out who he gave the ring to after the jump!

'Trust Me' Canceled

trust_me_canceled.jpg
Bottoms up, boys.

As expected, Turner will not renew the ad-agency drama, "Trust Me," for a second season.

The series, seen by some as an updated version of AMC's "Mad Men," starred Eric McCormack ("Will & Grace") and Tom Cavanagh ("Ed"). It premiered in January to only 3.4 million viewers -- a number which shrunk in Week 2 to 1.9 million viewers.

McCormack has inked a deal to star in an untitled ABC sitcom pilot.

De-'Fringe' Code

fringe_alphabet_code.jpg

In typical JJ Abrams fashion, there is more to "Fringe" than meets the typical TV watcher's eye.

It's to little surprise that the mastermind behind "Lost" - a show that has weaved an endless Web-following - would bring us another sci-fi series that requires us to do a little bit of homework.

Before every commercial break, "Fringe" flashes an image while a voice-over tells viewers how many seconds the break will last.

Those images are called "glyphs" and are part of a "glyph code," where each image and position of the yellow dot on the image corresponds to a different letter in the alphabet.

Each episode produces a single word by the time the last glyph is flashed, a word that, in most cases, relates to a central theme of the episode.

ArsTechnica code-cracker Julian Sanchez supplies a letter-to-glyph dictionary so everyone can follow the "Fringe" code here. A list of every word to date comes after the jump.

Kanye West Blogs to 'South Park'

kanye_west_south_park.jpg

"South Park" slammed Kanye West when the animated show portrayed the rapper as an ego-maniac Wednesday night.

In the episode, cartoon Kanye couldn't understand why everyone was accusing him of being a gay fish, with characters telling him, "If you're a guy who likes fishsticks (pronounced quickly)-- especially in your mouth -- you must be a gay fish."

The "Heartless" singer heard their message loud and clear, and took to his blog to respond - in all caps. Highlights below and watch the clip here .

KW: SOUTH PARK MURDERED ME LAST NIGHT AND IT'S PRETTY FUNNY. IT HURTS MY FEELINGS BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM SOUTH PARK! I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MY EGO THOUGH. HAVING THE CRAZY EGO IS PLAYED OUT AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE AND CAREER. I USE TO USE IT TO BUILD UP MY ESTEEM WHEN NOBODY BELIEVED IN ME. Kelly Bensimon Regrets 'Housewives'

bensimon0410.jpg
Kelly Bensimon really doesn't like her co-star Bethenny Frankel, and it looks like bashing her at a bar on "Real Housewives of NYC" just wasn't enough.

During a recent episode, the newest housewife invited Frankel to Brass Monkey, arrived 30 minutes late and immediately launched into a verbal attack on the "Skinny Girl" author and chef before her butt even nestled into the bar stool.

"We're not friends... you're attitude is for kids," the condescending Bensimon said to a calm and stoic Frankel, adding, "I don't like you, I don't think you're charming, we're not friends, we will never be friends."

Now, Bensimon is slamming Frankel and the show to Harper's Bazaar. "She's [Frankel] not authentic," the former model tells the mag in their May issue, which hits stands April 21st. Bensimon, who has made headlines for being accused of assaulting her former boyfriend last month, also says she regrets signing onto the Bravo reality show:

bazaar_may.jpg
On her response to costar, Bethany Frankel calling her "inauthentic":
"Is Bethenny a socialite? No. Will she ever sit next to Lauren duPont? No. Is she best friends with Aerin Lauder? No. Am I? No. Do I care? No. Does she? Oh, absolutely. She's not authentic. All she does is sit there and cry all the time. I'm like, you're crying about guys? And shut up. Honestly, if being inauthentic means graduating from Columbia University, writing three books, starting two magazines, bearing two children, being the ambassador for wool, running a marathon for charity -- if that's inauthentic? Tell me what authentic is."

On why she agreed to "Real Housewives of New York":
"I wanted to put my name up there. I was like, it's not enough for New York to know me. I wanted the rest of America to know me."

On how she feels about the show:
"[It's like] Mean Girls for the over-40s."

On the allegations that she gave her boyfriend a black-eye:
"One of the worst things about putting yourself out there is exposing yourself to situations you never dreamed would be a reality."

Do You Know These Real-life 'Gossip' Girls and Boys?

real_life_gg.jpg

Bravo finally pulled the trigger on the "Gossip Girl"-inspired reality TV show we told you about last month.

"NYC Prep" follows a group of six affluent private school kids around Manhattan's inner circle of elite exclusivity.

"Everyone's beautiful and everyone's connected," says the press release about the students, who apparently never leave each other's side when shopping, hitting up a midnight party, vacationing or... writing college applications.

The docu-series will give an up-close and personal look at the lives of the latest and hottest teens on the planet: Camille, 16, blows off steam at NYC hotspots when taking a break from her studies and college applications; Jessica, 17, always gets what she wants, and what she wants is to get into FIT; Kelli, 17, wants to be a singer; Taylor, 15, doubles as a public school student; PC, 18, is your typical hot and spoiled rich kid; and Sebastian, 16, boasts a reputation of hooking up with the hottest girls.

Since the name of the NYC prep school remains a mystery, tell us in the comments if you recognize any of the soon-to-be reality stars or if you can shed some light on where they go to school.

Ben Finds Himself 'Lost'

linus_0408.jpg
Last night on "Lost," viewers saw what happens when the player gets played.

The all-knowing Benjamin Linus, who has served as the mastermind behind "Lost" up until now, has been wandering around like a lost puppy since his return to the island - and its quite unsettling.

Linus has plotted and foreseen every move of the castaways, knows what lies under ever stone and inside every cave of the island and has held control over his people, The Others, ever since he exterminated his people before them, the Dharma Initiative.

Viewers may be clueless to what's in store on the island, but at least befuddled fans could rest assured that there was a big plan - a plan that Linus was carrying out.

Now, new leader John Locke puts it best when he asks Linus: "How does it feel having to ask questions you don't know the answers to and blindly following someone in the hopes that they'll lead you to whatever it is you're looking for?"

In response to Linus' bewildered expression, Locke adds, "Well, now you know what it was like to be me."

'Matchmaker': Jen Aniston Needs a Millionaire

jennifer_aniston_stanger.jpg
"Millionaire Matchmaker" Patti Stanger wants to set up Jennifer Aniston.

Reality TV's third-generation matchmaker wants the unlucky-in-love movie star to abandon the Hollywood dating pool and set her sights on more of the average joe (millionaire, of course).

"I would give her one of my clients who is a businessman on the Forbes list -- one of the big people like at Time Warner, someone who's high up on the food chain," Stanger told FOXNews.com's Pop Tarts column.

"She needs chemistry, and sometimes that older guy who's in his 50's, he's refined, and maybe been divorced, is going to be the guy."

Stanger also says she knew the former "Friends" star and beau John Mayer were doomed, citing bad body language and his immaturity as the problem.

"I would keep it on the down-low, and nobody would know about it." says Stanger.

Well, except that now everyone will know about it.

'90210's' Silver Loses It Again, Again, Again

90210_silver_crazy.jpg
Last night, the kids of "90210" were introduced to a whole new side of Erin Silver - the usually laid back and too-cool-for-high school sister of Kelly Taylor took viewers on a bumpy ride of emotions that ended in a loop of manic depression.

Silver, played by the seriously talented Jessica Stroup, is so obsessed with boyfriend Dixon that she has become consumed with love and lust. First she smothers him with sexual advances, then she uses a secret sex tape for a class project and finally she goes MIA, until Dixon and family find her ranting senselessly and jumping onto train tracks.

Dixon, whose biological mother suffered from bipolar disorder, diagnoses his girlfriend as manic depressive and takes her to the hospital at the end of the ride.

After the jump, watch Silver go off the rails and tell us if you think she is just crazy in love or crazy, crazy - like Emily Valentine:

Last night, Fox played DVR dominoes with its Tuesday night lineup when "American Idol" ran 8 minutes long, subsequently causing "Fringe" to run past its timeslot.

Viewers relying on playback missed the end of "Fringe" when their DVR's and TiVos stopped recording when the clock struck 10 p.m.

The Office Pool Bettor's Guide: 'American Idol' (Week 5)

idol_bettors_0408.jpg

adam_lambert_idol0407.jpg
If you saw Adam Lambert perform last night, then it'd be clear as your HD TV screen why he's so far ahead of his "American Idol'' competitors.

The problem is, an untold number of DVR-ing "Idol"' fans probably didn't see Lambert at all because the show ran inexplicably long -- way long, as in 8 minutes and 32 seconds into the "Fringe"' time slot.

Lambert was last night's final performer so his "Mad World" never made it to angry DVR viewers who were cut off through no fault of their own. (Watch Adam's 'Mad World' performance)

It was such a hurry-up ending to the show, that Simon Cowell was the only judge to speak, an exclusivity that he obviously cherished.

The harsh Brit summed up Lambert: "The bad news is we're running out of time. The good news is I'm the only one who's going to be talking and I think words are unnecessary - but I wanted to give you a standing ovation.''

And true to his word, Cowell stood and led the "Idol"' audience into wild applause.

Students: Oprah School 'Hell'

oprah_sex_scandal0406.jpg
Last week, Oprah Winfrey's boarding school for girls in South Africa was hit with it's second sex scandal in two years when seven students were suspended for allegedly sexually harassing their schoolmates.

This week, the girls are speaking out.

Four of the seven girls were kept in guarded isolation for two weeks before being booted from the school, reports The Star. The girls were excluded from all communication from the school's pupils and activities - even their meals were brought to them by kitchen staff.

The girls said the first two days were hell. They had sobbed bitterly because they knew they were going to be expelled, and were unable to eat.

"Teenagers are curious and want to experiment with different things," one of the girls told The Star.

Some of the girls were caught fondling each other, while one was accused of preying on another pupil and forcing her to lie to investigators about it.

The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy School for Girls, located near Johannesburg, opened in January 2007. The school, which houses nearly 200 middle- and high-school girls, offers students free tuition and books.

'Idol' Fix: Who's Hotter?

A 'Real' Battle For Class

Couldn't wait to see how the "Real Housewives of New York City" was going to follow-up last week's cat-fight-clad episode? Here's how.

Since none of the "Housewives" can stand to listen to Luann beat them over the head with her Countess stick anymore, Mizz Manners goes searching for anyone who will, and ends up at the Boys and Girls club of Brooklyn.

Moving from class to confidence, Luann sits down with a group of the girls to discuss self-esteem and positive self-image. As an ice-breaker, the housewife (who recently split with her husband, the Count) asks the girls to make a list of things they like about themselves. After boring the children to tears with her list (1. likeable 2. funny 3. organized), she proceeds to give them her royal history lesson. But, the real kicker comes at the very end of the video.

Also after the jump, Bethenny visits Jill's newly decorated apartment, which she likens to an acid trip. Watch both of the videos and then tell us who has less class: Luann for her last comment or Jill for approving the design.

16.2M Watch 'ER' Die

er_finale.jpg
Last night's "ER" finale didn't set any records, but performed respectfully for the veteran (15-season) NBC hospital drama.

The series' two-hour goodbye averaged 16.2 million viewers, about double the show's season average. It was also the highest-rated drama series finale since "Murder, She Wrote" in 1996 (16.5 million).

The finale also gave NBC the best adults 18-49 rating, for a drama series finale, since "The X-Files" wrapped on Fox in May 2002.

Still, the "ER" finale finished way down on the list of viewership for a series finale, especially compared to its NBC stablemates "Seinfeld" and "Friends"-- which snared a whopping 76.3 million and 52.5 million viewers, respectively.

And last night's finale offered no shockers--and no George Clooney, who was rumored to be returning for a second time this season.

Gale Harold Returns to Wisteria Lane

gale_harold_returns.jpg

Looks like Susan Mayer's lesbian days are over.

Gale Harold, who played Mayer's (Teri Hatcher) younger boyfriend Jackson on "Desperate Housewives," left the lane after fracturing his shoulder in a motorcycle accident six months ago.

Jackson returns on May 3 with a "very important question for Susan -- one that she's kind of stunned by," reports EW.com.

His homecoming couldn't have come at a better time for Mayer.

In his absence, the housewife went from possibly acting on lingering feelings for ex-husband Mike to developing a soft spot for her first and terrible ex-husband Karl to getting kissed from a female teacher.

Farrah Cancer Film to NBC

farrah_fawcett_anal_cancer2.jpg
After months of being shopped around, Farrah Fawcett's documentary chronicling her battle with cancer, tentatively called "A Wing and a Prayer," has been picked up by NBC.

The film -- which follows Fawcett as she receives experimental stem-cell cancer treatments in Germany, shuttling between doctors' offices and run-ins with the paparazzi -- promises to be an intense, intimate look into the star's struggles with her illness.

The 62-year-old Fawcett, who reigned as a sex symbol in the '70s and '80s and is best known for starring in hit TV show "Charlie's Angels," was first diagnosed with rectal cancer in 2006.

She was declared cancer-free by her doctors in February 2007, only to have the disease return a few months later.

"A Wing and a Prayer" begins when Fawcett learns about the return of her cancer and decides to fly to Germany to receive a cancer treatment not available in the US.

Fawcett filmed much of it herself as a video diary talking into a mirror. But some of her close friends, including best friend Alana Stewart and long-time boyfriend Ryan O'Neal, pick up the camera to follow her as well.

The documentary also addresses Farrah's fight for privacy in the face of heated media attention, particularly after a UCLA employee was found leaking her medical records to the National Enquirer.
