Kluge Interactive announced today a new version of its popular spatial rhythm game Synth Riders is coming to the Apple Vision Pro headset. According to the developers, they’ve recreated Synth Riders entirely for Apple’s new device, utilizing several of its features for the new game. The revamped Synth Riders launches alongside the headset on February 2, and it’s available to download via Apple Arcade.

According to Kluge, the new Synth Riders features a new look and feel befitting the new device and feature over 70 songs at launch. The new version of the game uses hand tracking to allow users to play the notes and rails with their own appendages. Players can also customize their own level of immersion, including how much of their own space they can see blended with the Synth Riders environment. The developers have built an audio-reactive environment for the Vision Pro and have included several accessibility options.

Arturo Perez, Kluge’s CEO, said in a statement, “With Synth Riders on Apple Vision Pro, we’ve re-imagined our beloved rhythm game with new visuals and gameplay. For the first time, players experience the notes and rails with immersive hand-tracking and interactive effects that let them feel the music in a whole new way. Fans and newcomers can look forward to the joy the Synth Riders game has always offered – to lose themselves in the ‘flow state’ of a perfect combination of movement, visuals, and music.”

Synth Riders originally launched in 2018, and is currently available for Meta Quest, SteamVR, Viveport and PlayStation VR. Its remastered version was a launch title for last year’s PlayStation VR2.
