HWASEONG, South Korea -- Over 2,000 members of a Samsung Electronics labor union held a rally on Wednesday to pressure the company to improve their working conditions, one of the strongest public calls for action the tech conglomerate has faced from its workers.
The National Samsung Electronics Union (NSEU), which represents 26,000 employees, or 21% of the company's 124,800 workforce, said its members want the company to respect them and treat them better in terms of wages, bonuses and paid holidays.
