    🌱 We’re thrilled to share the launch of the Mars Sustainable in a Generation Report, showcasing our collective efforts to drive sustainability and achieve tangible results. We’re proud of the contribution our Mars Food & Nutrition business segment is making. Our mission is to help people eat better by making food healthy, tasty, and accessible, and that is sourced and produced sustainably. We’re driving rice sustainability, promoting climate-smart agriculture with farmers, collaborating with our suppliers on sustainable sourcing, and partnering on sustainable packaging solutions. We’re also delivering our commitments to health and wellbeing and following strict nutrition criteria for our products. Last year we provided 3.1 billion healthy meals, 346 million servings of vegetables, 120 million servings of fiber, and reduced sodium by 5.1% vs. 2019.     This summer, Sainbury’s and Comic Relief have committed to donating over £2.5m, to help children and families with access to nutritious food by providing over one million meals in the school holidays. Dolmio is proud to be the exclusive brand partner in this initiative, contributing to the cause with proceeds from Dolmio products sold in Sainsbury’s between July 10th and 30th. Ruth Cranston, Director of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability at Sainsbury's, said: “We know that the school holidays are a difficult time for many families, especially for children who aren’t eligible for free school meals.     It’s always a pleasure to attend Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. This year I return feeling particularly inspired and energised by all of the fantastically creative work I saw and the insightful debates and discussions which I was fortunate enough to be part of - Thank you GroupM and Campaign UK. The beauty of Cannes is its ability to promote diversity of thought and inspire new ways of doing things and for me there were three key themes which I believe will become increasingly integral to the work that we do at Mars Food & Nutrition: 🗒️Key notes 1. While AI continues to be at the forefront of debates across advertising and marketing, there has been a notable shift towards the need to pair AI with human intelligence. As marketing professionals we need to ensure that the emotional and ethical elements that only human intuition and intelligence can provide sit side by side with the many data and information driven benefits of AI. Cannes is actually the perfect example of this – inspiration and creativity being driven by human connectivity, partnership and interaction that is difficult for AI to replace. 2. It is becoming increasingly difficult to separate creativity and technology. The two enhance rather than detract from each other but we must ensure that we are deploying technology in the right way and embracing its benefits rather than resisting its influence. 3. The fundamentals of brand building are still the same but how we do this has changed and continues to evolve at exponential pace. If we can effectively harness the revolutionary new tools at our disposal then there is an incredible opportunity to engage with consumers in more authentic and engaging ways than ever before. I’m more excited 🤩 than ever about the opportunities we have for creativity across our own brands at Mars Food & Nutrition and I’m looking forward to being back here again to showcase the amazing work of our colleagues and partners.     It’s #NationalVolunteersWeek in Australia, and last week we surprised over 70 Foodbank Australia volunteers with a #Dolmio Spaghetti Bolognese lunch to say thank you for everything they do. Our Foodbank Collaborative Supply Program has been running for over four years – and in 2024 will help to provide nearly 1 million meals using Dolmio pasta sauce. In the UK, for the second year in a row, our Seat at the Table™ Fund is supporting access to skills building and mentorship for Black hospitality workers so we can help them further their careers in the food industry.   We are delighted to welcome the 2024 Seat at the Table™ Cohort! The 16 selected candidates will embark on a journey to accelerate progress towards achieving their career ambitions.
