Support Group for children with Type 1 Diabetes
I founded a support group for young children with Type 1 Diabetes at Royal Surrey County Hospital. I campaign for children to have the right to new technologies to enable improvements in quality of life and reduce of long-term complications. Support Group for children with Type 1 Diabetes
I founded a support group for young children with Type 1 Diabetes at Royal Surrey County Hospital. I campaign for children to have the right to new technologies to enable improvements in quality of life and reduce of long-term complications. I devised care plans for management of diabetes in schools to enable children to participate fully in all activities including foreign school trips and competitive sports.
Support for Vulnerable Teenagers
I previously managed a team of trained youth workers to support vulnerable teenagers. I established and ran youth groups for children aged 6-18 with 60 children attending weekly sessions including many with challenging physical and mental health needs. I managed 20+ volunteers and carried out various activities including residential trips, art, sports, cultural and educational activities. I recently volunteered on a Duke of Edinburgh Gold and Silver residential expedition for children aged 14-16 year.
I also volunteered for St. John Ambulance as a First Aider. -
