“I had the good fortune of working with Anish during early 2000s for Japanese clients. Anish was a sales director and I was responsible for delivery. We worked on many projects with very demanding and fortunate 100 clients. I specifically remember a project, where we all were tested to our limits. It was a tough environment and a very complex telecom project (Cutting edge number portability then) with multiple vendors and multiple stakeholders on the client side. With a strong work ethic of Japanese customers (they used to be in the office before we started in the morning 8am IST) and kept working late into the night after we left at 8pm IST) and very high quality standards (We used to have 4 integration test cycles and predict defects that should be found based on program size, and wouldn't stop testing till we detected all the predicted defects :)). It was only Anish's unstinted support and trust on the delivery teams that we managed to deliver the project. Anish did a fantastic job of managing a delicate balance between managing customer expectations and supporting as well as challenging both sides. His sense of humor and ability to keep his nerve despite being in the line of fire during client escalations helped us work as One team with the client. Long before sales role stopped being about wining and dining to sell projects, and started becoming more about domain knowledge to really understand the client's business and proposing solutions to solve their critical business problems, Anish was ahead of this times. He always worked with the spirit of one team and not washing his hands-off delivery challenges once the project is sold. He was an excellent bridge between clients and delivery teams. This was especially commendable given we had language barriers working with the Japanese clients. It is not a surprise that he is doing so well in his career. I am sure his colleagues and clients, feel fortunate to work with him. Good luck Anish and keep smiling!!”
