    Senior Account Manager at M&C Saatchi Talk

    🦋 ABSOLUT X TOMORROWLAND 🦋 Last weekend, I had the pleasure of hosting five journalists from global drinks and culture titles on the ground at Tomorrowland, on behalf of our client The Absolut Group.    Now in its third year, Absolut and Tomorrowland’s partnership for 2024 seeks to address the growing problem of loneliness as part of its United We Dance platform. Each year, the partnership’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) committee tackles a new issue derived from research around highly-charged topics relevant to festivalgoers, taking meaningful action to bring about positive change. Formed of representatives from Absolut, Tomorrowland, people from government and the arts, the committee has this year chosen to tackle the growing problem of loneliness, which has been declared a “pressing health threat” by the World Health Organisation. You can learn more about the partnership here: https://lnkd.in/egWB3M52     Whilst on-site, our journalists got to check out the activations aimed at creating a sanctuary for human connection. This included the main hub of activity, The Community Booth, set within the festival’s camping area providing a space for festivalgoers to connect. Here, Tomorrowland artists recorded live podcasts focusing on mental health and the challenges people face today, and daily ‘speed networking’ events were hosted to help facilitate connections.    To top off the fully immersive brand experience, our journalists also got to explore Absolut’s #BornToMix activation in the main festival grounds and try some signature Absolut cocktails, including the Absolut Espresso Martini and Absolut Mule.    All in all, a great first experience at Tomorrowland! And to everyone heading there this coming weekend, make sure to keep an eye out for Absolut.

    We are delighted to share that our campaign, ‘Launching New EE’, has been shortlisted for the PRWeek UK Best PR Event Award.   The campaign saw us project a live DJ set from the legendary Fatboy Slim across the London skyline, to create the world’s biggest ever holographic performance.   Delivering a holographic performance 50m high - as tall as the Leaning Tower of Pisa - certainly wasn’t easy, so it’s amazing that our work has been recognised amongst a shortlist of some other amazing campaigns 🎉🎉   Thank you to our partners at Happy Finish for helping us to realise our creative, and of course a big shout out to Phy A., Emily Young, and Kayleigh Ross at EE.

    Back in May, along with our client Green by Iceland, we hosted media at the Iceland Geothermal Conference 2024 which took place at Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center in Reykjavík. The conference focused on the potential of geothermal, how Iceland has harnessed this renewable energy for a century and how the country can serve as an example to others.   We met with C-level executives from various businesses within the supply chain for geothermal energy and here we share an article by Joan Michelson for Forbes & ForbesWomen who summarises how geothermal energy can ‘play a major role in transitioning the globe to a clean energy economy.’   https://lnkd.in/emaJzhys

    Yesterday our client The Absolut Group launched a limited-edition bottle inspired by Andy Warhol’s rediscovered ‘Absolut Blue’ painting. The bottle will be available in Global Travel Retail before rolling out to more than 50 markets worldwide. The Talk team has been busy behind the scenes for over a year, working on a Global Toolkit and delivering the creative storytelling behind this collaboration, one that nods to Absolut’s artistic legacy and coincides with 40 years since Absolut first partnered with Warhol for the iconic ‘Absolut Warhol’ painting.   The team hosted an exclusive media launch at Lyaness last Thursday and have been pitching the story to a variety of publications.     Last week we hosted a full day launch event for our client Fujifilm UK and their launch of the instax WIDE 400, the latest addition to the instax family.   Hosted at the rooftop penthouse at Allbright Mayfair, the day was split across media, retailers, and influencers, delivering a launch moment and immersive experience that showcased the creative features and analog aesthetic of their latest instant camera.   To start the day, we had media from lifestyle and tech publications in attendance, including Stylist, Hello!, Yahoo Lifestyle, Daily Star, and T3. A group of 17 retailers were then given an exclusive opportunity to get up close and personal with the WIDE 400. A great chance for them to explore its features and see first-hand how it can enhance the lives of their customers. Finally, the team organised a skateboard customisation workshop with a group of content creators who got a chance to explore their creativity and unlock the unique features of the camera.   Not bad for a day’s work 📷

    Another milestone for the Sephora team at M&C Saatchi Talk as we managed the brand’s third UK store opening, with the first out-of-London location in Manchester’s Trafford Centre.    From an exclusive VIP party where the champagne flowed to entertaining over 3,000 queuers all before the store even opened, the five-day launch programme was packed with activity that brought queue after queue of excited fans from all over the north.   Our spectacular launch saw opening performances from Sweet Female Attitude, and Liquorice Black in addition to a curated dance performance from Sephora’s Beauty Advisors. The excitement continued into the weekend with in-store DJ sets and local artist performances.    As always, we worked with the fantastic team at Sephora to ensure every part of the launch was seamless from creative concept through to management of the full production and talent; all with our north star in mind, making sure the launch felt authentic to the local community.   #MeetMeAtSephoraMCR

    Spotted: Drag Race UK star Black Peppa at the world’s largest Primark!   Our Fujifilm PR team recruited Peppa to help open the second PHOTO by Fujifilm Primark concession in Birmingham – hosting a creative influencer workshop with a fashion photography twist.   Influencers from around the region flocked to the new concession for an evening of creativity and customisation – showcasing the brand’s range of instant cameras, printers and instant photo printing kiosks.   An iconic evening that captured the spirit of PHOTO by Fujifilm and all it offers the Primark customer.   #newlaunch #prlaunch
