This July, we released the Employee Volunteering Policy which gives every employee one full paid day designated for voluntary activity that can have impact in our community. That is why last Friday, we happily provided 4 volunteers from our company who eagerly helped with the deep cleaning of the premises of Jolly Josh, our partner non-profit organization that breaks barriers for children with complex medical needs and physical disabilities. This is what our employees had to say about their experience: “I learned about the various medical needs of children with physical disabilities and the tools they use to develop new skills through motor play.” “I felt a sense of accomplishment and pride in doing a good job for a lovely organisation.”

Last week, three of our employees attended a training session hosted by Business Growth Hub on Tenders, Bid Writing, and Social Value. They gained valuable insights on writing bids more efficiently, managing internal tender processes, and successfully incorporating social value into our proposals. We invest in our employees because we believe this encourages creativity, improves morale, and adds to their personal development and confidence in performing their jobs. #EducationandSkills #SocialValue #BidWriting

We recently faced a challenge when we refurbished our breakout area. What should do with the old table and benches? Due to our SV commitment and environmental pledges, sending the furniture to a landfill was not an option. We needed a more sustainable, ethical and impactful solution. With the help of our furniture vendor, we had the benches refurbished and they looked as good as new! We decided to donate the tables and benches to an organisation called STARS. Miss Akhtar is the founder of the group. She has been volunteering in the community for over 30 years, running classes at the local mosque, where she teaches children and women who do not speak English as their first language. The children are all very excited about receiving the new tables and benches, 10-year-old Amaya says the old tables were wobbly and it was hard to focus on the lessons. We believe in the power of community support and are proud to contribute to enhancing the educational environment for these learners. It's our pleasure to give back and help create a positive impact in our local community. #CommunitySupport #GivingBack #Education

Did you know that Language Empire is deeply committed to empowering young people to develop relevant workplace skills? This dedication is one of the key reasons we recently hosted another enthusiastic student for her work experience.   One of the most rewarding aspects of hosting work experience participants is the opportunity for our staff to mentor someone new. This experience benefits the mentee and reinvigorates our team's passion for what we do. Mentoring allows our seasoned professionals to share their knowledge, refine their skills, and gain new insights from fresh talent.   "A diverse team has enlightened my knowledge of many different cultures and backgrounds."   Her enthusiasm and eagerness to learn were evident from the moment the student joined our team. She quickly became integral to our dynamic work environment, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.   At Language Empire, we recognise the importance of a structured work experience program that accurately simulates real working life. This program is designed to provide participants with hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of our industry.   "Shadowing different departments has enabled me to understand more about the variety of roles at Language Empire as well as their involvement with and contribution to the public sector."    By offering these opportunities, we are not only investing in the future of these talented individuals but also enriching our own workplace with fresh perspectives and new ideas.    #Empowerment #WorkExperience #YouthDevelopment #Diversity #PublicSector #LanguageEmpire

Did you know that today marks the tenth anniversary of the first World Youth Skills Day? Ten years ago, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming July 15 as World Youth Skills Day. It's a day dedicated to celebrating the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship.  Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a talented work-experience student from Falinge Park High School. Throughout the week, he immersed himself in our team, working during business hours and rotating through various departments. It was inspiring to witness his enthusiasm and dedication as he contributed to Language Empire's daily mission of breaking down barriers.  We're proud to play a role in nurturing young talent and empowering the next generation with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed!  #WorldYouthSkillsDay #Workexperience #Breakingdownthebarriers #Employabilityandskills #communityimpact
