⁉️ What role can pharmaceutical companies play in tackling health misinformation into the future? In our recent episode with Jill Pearcy from The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) Pharmaceutical Industry, we covered the importance of tackling misinformation. In our second Re_Frame the Future on misinformation, we dive even further into the topic with Dan Wills from Patient Information Forum (PIF). His team have been working hard to ensure patient and public facing health information is accurate, accessible, evidence-based and easy to understand, by setting up the PIF TICK – the UK’s only assessed quality mark for print and online health and care information. 📢 How can the pharma industry build trust in an age of misinformation? That’s the big question Chris Bath and Joe Balfour discussed with Jill Pearcy from The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI). The ABPI has been tracking opinions about the pharmaceutical industry in the past three years, after it was propelled into the spotlight during the pandemic. Yet while familiarity and trust grew, so did misinformation… Check out our latest Re_Frame the Future to hear more about how the industry can continue to meet the challenges around misinformation 🎬 https://lnkd.in/e6nVBczi #HealthMisinformation #WhereAbilityMeetsAgility

We were proud to sponsor the London Healthcare Communications Association (HCA) Conference – ‘Determinants of Health and Considerations for Communications’ – which took place yesterday. Our Aurora team members Sebastian Stokes, Claire Murray, Photini Knoyle, Doina Gaibu and Anna Lenherr were onsite to learn from the incredible speakers and panelists, who shared insights around some of the determinants of health and the impact they have on different groups, as well as looking at how industry is helping to advance health equity. A special shout-out to Molly Stephenson who presented learnings from BMS' Cancer Equals campaign launch during the Communications Insights session and took part on a panel, discussing the role communication can play in improving health equity. Thank you to everyone who attended and came to say hello! 👋 If you'd like to hear more about our work in health inequalities, do get in touch. #HCAConference2024 #DeterminantsOfHealth #HealthEquity #WhereAbilityMeetsAgility

Last week, some of our team attended the Pharma Omnichannel Excellence Conference and learnt about ➡ the importance of data interrogation ➡ picking the right channels ➡ how AI is going to accelerate omnichannel approaches ➡ the differing opinions around Global & local input and adoption Check out the detailed summary of learnings below 👇 #WhereAbilityMeetsAgility #Omnichannel
This week Joanna Mayle and I attended the Pharma Omnichannel Excellence Conference to hear and learn about the current omnichannel practices in pharmaceuticals. It was a full day, with some really great sessions led by people and companies doing great things in the space. Here are some of my top takeaways: 🔎 Put s**t in, get s**t out. For omnichannel to work, and work well, we need a lot of data. But, if you put s**t in, you get s**t out! So make sure you’re interrogating your data in the first instance, don’t just trust it is right. Is the data giving you the right information to inform your decisions, what gaps exist, and where might you need additional input? Once you are confident in your data, you can be confident in the decisions which fall out of it. 📺 Pick your channels. Just because you might you have every channel possible available to you, doesn’t mean you have to use them all. Start small but targeted. Make sure the right message is being delivered to the right customer through the right channel. You can scale up once you understand what is or isn't working. 🤖 Next best A(I)cton. Identifying the next best action in your omnichannel approach is a much discussed and debated area. Whilst machine learning (see AI) has been suggesting this for a while now, there was real agreement that AI is really going to accelerate in this specific area. Its going to help make the right decision quicker and maximise ROI. 🌍 Global vs local. Some fantastic talks on this topic but also some diverging view points. Some companies aim to have all markets involved in all decisions vs others which invite a handful to listen too. There’s no right answer and it has to be down to the individual, but what was clear is that when people feel they have a seat at the table, they are more likely to buy into the approach and adopt global programmes locally. Its not rocket science but we can sometimes forget that. ❗ We are not quite there yet. There were lots of great examples of some fantastic work being done throughout the industry from segmentation, use of AI, global vs local etc. But it feels like as an industry we still have some way to go to get to the type of engagement of FMCG or tech brands. The speakers themselves noted they’re not quite there in all departments, but there’s a standard everyone is aiming for. Don’t feel discouraged if you’re not fully optimised or are just beginning. Start with the basics. Know your customers, what are their current and future behaviours and identify how best to move them in the right direction (see note above on pick your channels). The tech and the solutions can fit around this fundamental understanding. If you're looking for any strategic or hands on support with customer excellence or omnichannel capabilities, please do get in touch. #omnichannel #pharma #AI #digital #CRM #marketing
