Disney+’s The Acolyte Makes Nielsen Streaming Top 10 Debut, Netflix’s Eric Claims No. 1 Spot

Netflix’s Benedict Cumberbatch-led Eric topped Nielsen’s U.S. ranking of streaming originals for the week of June 3, by amassing 926 million minutes viewed across its six episodes.

With the release of its final season, Netflix’s Sweet Tooth placed second (with 874 million minutes viewed across 24 episodes).

After a three-week reign, Netflix’s Bridgerton ceded the top spot and slipped to No. 3 with 806 million minutes viewed/20 episodes. It was followed by Paramount+/Netflix’s Evil (524 million minutes/39 available episodes) and Netflix’s Geek Girl (515 million minutes/10 episodes).

Rounding out the Top 10 streaming originals for the week of June 3 were Netflix’s 7m TikTok Cult docu, the chart debut of Disney+’s The Acolyte (which had 488 million minutes viewed for its first two episodes), Netflix’s Hitler and the Nazis: Evil on Trial, Netflix’s Perfect Match and, with the release of its Season 2 premiere, Paramount+’s The Mayor of Kingstown.

Meanwhile over on Nielsen’s overall streaming ranking (which includes movies and acquired series), Netflix’s 115-minute Hit Man flick, starring Glen Powell and Adria Arjona, debuted at No. 4 with 984 million minutes viewed.
