allegedly another variation on an old tune from Junior Crehan, always wondered if it was named for the Corner House hotel in Camden but someone here will probably know the provenance of it

X:3 from the piping of Seamus Ennis, a tune from his father James, known for his composition the Morning Thrush. According to Seamus his father would always kick off a bout of fiddling with this tune, starting on the 2nd part, and that he had no name for it. Arguably it could be considered a tune in its own right, but to me it sounds much like the House, with much of the melody simplified/truncated, especially in the 2nd part.

I am told Paddy Kelly fiddle player with the Aughrim slopes ceili band composed this tune. The corner House is a pub in the village of aughrim county Galway, Ireland. Now going by the name Valerie,s Bar.

i’ve heard from few different person it is a nice composition from the east galway fiddler Paddy kelly .

I got this setting from the Piper Dicky Deegan, he wrote it out for me years ago and I particularly like the D , on the open string in 3rd bar which isnt in most versions. Enjoy.
