Product Description

Joking Hazard is an extremely NOT-FOR-KIDS party game where you compete to finish awesome/terrible comic strips with friends! The rules are simple: First, everyone takes a bunch of panel cards and a judge is picked. The first panel of the comic is drawn randomly from the deck. The next panel is placed intentionally by the judge, making a set-up. Everyone else finishes the comic with a card from their hand, and the judge picks the funniest one. This box comes with 350 comic panel cards. It also has 10 add-your-own-words cards, for if you get a good idea for one or want to write your stupid friend Greg into the game to make fun of him.

That player then adds one of their own cards on either side, making the setup.

Everyone Else Plays Third

The other players then put in their best punchline, facedown. The judge shuffles and picks the funniest one.

How did you come up with the idea for this product?

Joking Hazard was inspired by the Cyanide & Happiness Random Comic Generator, a web app we created in 2014 that generates a three panel comic from hundreds of possible panels. We printed them out, balanced for gameplay, and Joking Hazard was born.

What makes your product special?

A lot of "impress the judge" games create all the jokes for you by combining two random cards. Joking Hazard is different, because there are THREE cards. That may not sound like a big difference, but it allows the judge to participate, by inventing a story that everyone else has to finish. Context is everything.

What has been the best part of your experience?

    If you like the cyanide and happiness comic strips, this game allows you to build your own! The play style is very similar to “What Do Yo Meme” and slightly similar to Cards Against Humanity. However, this game definitely has a bit more of the raunchy, dark humour that you get with Cards Against Humanity.
