PR Team Lead

Every year, Surfshark makes thousands of publications and gets cited in global media outlets such as Wired, Bloomberg, Forbes, and BBC. All thanks to our PR team! This team researches and completes analyses on various issues such as governmental surveillance, social media censorship, and internet shutdowns. They are passionate about making privacy and security topics understandable for everyone, and their goal is to make Surfshark products vocal about things that matter in the cybersecurity field.

If you want to

  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that align with Surfshark’s business goals and objectives;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets and industry experts to secure consistent media coverage and thought leadership opportunities;
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing, communications, and executive leadership;
  • Identify and leverage relevant industry trends, news cycles, and market opportunities to generate proactive PR campaigns and story ideas;
  • Act as a spokesperson for Surfshark during media interviews, press conferences, industry events, and speaking engagements; Manage and grow a team of PR specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

  • Proven experience in a leadership position in the Public Relations / Communications field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into compelling narratives;
  • Ability to come up with content ideas that appeal to the media;
  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to manage a PR team and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, trends, and regulatory frameworks is a plus.
