Easy fix for high FPS issues (NVIDIA users)
By GRIMM
A guide to get the game to play at stable frame rate.

This is mainly for issues affecting people with high refresh rate monitors. Typically those with 120hz, 144hz, 240hz, 300hz, etc... The game is affecting some of these people and having the game match those refresh rates. For me personally, the game was matching 300hz on my laptop and was completely unplayable as a result.

This guide will show you how to find the necessary setting in NVIDIA Control Panel to force the framerate to be in a playable state.

The easy fix
Open up your NVidia control panel. You can do this simply by right clicking on your desktop in an empty area, and selecting NVIDIA Control Panel, or by searching for it from the Start Menu.

Once you have the NVIDIA Control Panel open, follow these steps:

1.) Select "Manage 3D Settings" on the left hand side, located below Select a Task in the 3D settings section.

2.) Select the Program settings tab as seen in the Manage 3D settings on the right side.

3.) hit the drop down underneath Select a program to customize, and select Guilty Gear. If Guilty Gear does not appear, click the "Add" button, and wait a few seconds for a list to populate. Find Guilty Gear in the list and select it.

4.) Look under the Specify the settings for this program and scroll down the list until you see "Max Frame Rate" By default it should say "Use Global Setting (Off)". Click on "Use Global Setting (Off)".

5.) You will see some options now. Select the "On" option, and look for the text box next to "FPS" and type in your desired framerate. 60fps is usually the sweet spot for this type of game. After you type in the FPS, click "OK:

6.) Now click "Apply" on the bottom right.

7.) Launch the game and have fun!

I remember booting this up for the first time on a 240hz monitor. If I could only ascend this weak, human body I would've just played it at 240fps. Why must I stay trapped in this form? :ALgrrremoji:

anyone figure out to how to do this fix for amd gpu's yet? got a 6700xt running on the most recent software to the date of this comment. Tried using both frame rate target control and radeon chill (tried just using one or the other then attempted while having both active) in amd software settings to no avail. Want to avoid 3rd party software for frame limits if possible, but will concede to it if worst comes to worst I guess. Also should note I'm running on a 1440p 144hz monitor
